The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region awarded a grant to support the HyAMBES project’s feasibility studies in Ambès, Gironde (southwest of France). KHIMOD is involved in the project in partnership with Teréga Solutions, Alpiq, and a fuel logistics provider.
The HyAMBES project aims to produce sustainable aviation fuel using recovered hydrogen from an industrial site and locally sourced biogenic CO₂ from anaerobic digestion plants.
KHIMOD’s solution for producing e-SAF is the latest breakthrough technology of RWGS and Fischer-Tropsch reactions applied on the scale-up of our SAF demonstration unit AVEBIO.
This regional support is a significant step toward establishing one of France’s first industrial sites dedicated to producing low-carbon synthetic fuels. The project will play a central role in the energy transition and decarbonization of transportation. Production is expected to begin by 2028.
