At Pollutec 2025 in Lyon, Nicolas Serrie (CEO of KHIMOD) and Arnaud Bossis (Managing Director of CVE Biogaz) officially announced a partnership between the two companies.
CVE Biogaz, an independent renewable gas company in France promoting the circular economy, will supply biogenic CO₂ from its network of methanization units. KHIMOD will use its heat exchanger-reactor technology to combine this CO₂ with hydrogen to produce low-carbon methane, low-carbon methanol, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
Together, CVE and KHIMOD aim to deliver the first French-made low-carbon fuels produced with 100% biogenic CO₂ by 2029. This partnership is a significant step toward decarbonizing aviation and maritime transport and establishing a localized, competitive low-carbon fuels value chain in France.
